My web development lifecycle
- User Requirements / Analyse
- Interview client or question client through email
- Determine target audience
- Determine main uses and purposes of the website
- Determine what the main website goals are
- Research potential competitors for website
- Determine colours and style of design wanted by client
- Prototypes
- I Create various designs with different colour schemes and themes
- Show designs to client and get feedback
- Use feedback from client to further develop prototypes
- Repeat last two steps until client is happy with design
- Design
- Create XHTML, CSS version of design
- Gain feedback from the client on the design
- Implementation
- Develop the final website using content provided by client
- Upload final product to server
- Testing
- Test all links and pages on the website
- Make sure client is 100% happy with final product
- Evaluate final design (were all goals met?)
- Maintenance
- I can update site for an additional fee or client can opt to use site him/herself
